Mutant Chronicles: Siege of the Citadel by designers Richard Borg with Eric M. Lang and Kevin Wilson, is an innovative reimagining of the original worldwide hit board game Siege of the Citadel, originally designed by Richard Borg and published by Target Games and Pressman Toys in the 1990s. This new edition reboots the classic with an A-List design team, balanced and updated rules, highly detailed miniatures and tiles.

Set in the Mutant Chronicles universe, the story takes players on a full-throttle dieselpunk sci-fi ride through a solar system beset by corporate intrigue and the invasion of a terrible dark alien force. With technology failing due to the insidious effects of the Dark Symmetry, humankind must fight back against the Dark Legion hordes while dealing with mutiny and conspiracy within. Mutant Chronicles: Siege of the Citadel takes place during one of the great wars against the Dark Legion as humanity musters the greatest army under Cardinal Durand and the DoomTroopers of the Cartel to assault Alakhai’s terrifying Citadel.

The news comes as Star Trek fans worldwide celebrate Star Trek’s 50th anniversary in 2016.

Fans of the legendary Star Trek television series’ and films will not only boldly go to the final frontier, but they will shape the voyages and missions through the Star Trek Adventures living campaign playtest. Each player will experience the game differently based on the ship they are assigned to and attendees of Gen Con will have the exclusive North American opportunity to choose their ship, as well as claim a free Captain Kirk or Captain Picard miniature, while supplies last, when they register for the playtest. Highlighted Roleplaying Guild events include Thursday night’s pre-generated character special Serpents’ Ire (a follow up to last year’s Serpents’ Rise) and Saturday’s pre-generated character special Through Maelstrom Rift. Also highlighted is The Cosmic Captive, Friday night’s massively multiplayer 1,000-hero Special kicking off the Year of the Stolen Storm, Season 8 of the world’s largest organized play campaign! Join the Pathfinder Society Roleplaying Guild in the Sagamore Ballroom for hundreds of games for every level of play, 3 new scenarios, 6 new quests, and a silent auction for valuable boons to raise money for Gen Con’s charity, The Pourhouse. -       Pathfinder Society Adventure Card Guild returns to the Sagamore Ballroom as well, with four days packed full of adventure. On Friday, cards and dice come together in The Cosmic Captive. This is a world-premier event, incorporating a card game component into the interactive special. Throughout Gen Con, players can join the 2nd annual Open Tournament, where teams of four go head-to-head to proclaim themselves champion. Attendees may play through all of the Season of the Runelords organized play campaign, or pick up games from past campaigns the Season of the Shackles and the Season of the Rightous. -       Gen Con 2016 launches Pathfinder Society Academy, Pathfinder Society’s newest program designed to introduce kids ages 6 and up to the world of Pathfinder.
